Jessica Maes-Zepeda is Director of Public Relations and Community Affairs/Owner at El Aviso Magazine, an award-winning Spanish-language weekly publication in Los Angeles.
Jessica has been a community leader for many years, one such highlight is that in 1994 she was elected as council member for the city Huntington Park, and in June 1997 she made history as the first woman to hold the position of Mayor for that city.
In 2004, Huntington Park set a place of honor where they display her portrait, recognizing her for her many achievements and contributions. Jessica is a living legend.
In business, her mission is “to bring readers a medium in Spanish that informs them and promotes products and services in the area,” in this capacity, Jessica leads the daily tasks that make her business not just a local success, but a national icon.
Jessica and her husband have five children and seven grandchildren, and spend their time working diligently towards making El Aviso Magazine the success story that it is today.
