Livi Ordaz, the visionary founder and owner of Livis Party Design, embodies the spirit of entrepreneurship and dedication. For two decades, she has shared a loving partnership with her Military Retired Veteran husband, and together they have raised a beautiful family: two children currently pursuing their college education and embarking on their freshman year of high school.
Prior to establishing Livis Party Design, Livi gained valuable experience working at a Credit Union. Her career path took a turn when her family relocated to Wisconsin for five years, a period during which their son was born and their daughter began her schooling. Upon the military’s subsequent reassignment, bringing the family back to California, Livi made a deliberate choice to prioritize her children’s upbringing. Eschewing a traditional 9-to-5 job, she embraced the flexibility of selling at the swap meet, a decision that allowed her to be fully present in her children’s lives.
The arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic, while challenging for many, proved to be a catalyst for remarkable growth at Livis Party Design. What began as a burgeoning home-based venture rapidly expanded. Livi initially rented a small office, which she quickly outgrew within a year. This necessitated a move to a larger retail shop, a space she also outgrew in a mere eighteen months. Today, Livis Party Design proudly operates from a spacious and highly functional workshop in San Dimas, a location that brings Livi immense satisfaction.
Beyond her thriving business, Livi is deeply committed to community service and volunteering. Her dedication to helping others is evident in her active involvement with three different Chambers of Commerce. She also holds a distinguished position on the Board for the Azusa Chamber of Commerce, contributing her expertise and passion to local business development. Livi expresses particular enthusiasm for her involvement with the NLBWA LA organization, a non-profit dedicated to empowering Latina women in their entrepreneurial journeys, a cause she passionately champions.
Livi’s personal philosophy centers on providing support and guidance to anyone seeking assistance. She is a natural connector, possessing an innate ability to bring people together and foster valuable relationships. Her extensive network and resourcefulness are well-known; if she doesn’t immediately know the answer to a question, one can rest assured that Livi will diligently find it, leveraging her vast array of contacts and information sources.
