The Emerging Latinas Series: Leadership Program starts on October 6th.

10/6- Effective Communication

This course will provide the opportunity for participants to hone their communication and presentation skills. Whether across the conference table or from the front of the room, good communication skills are a core tool for business success. If you have the right mindset and are a good communicator, you will outperform and be more successful than those who do not have mastery of these skills.

Upon completion of this course, participants will:  

1) Understand the elements of communication & learn different communication styles 

2) Gain the ability to compose and organize thoughts while communicating in a positive and  professional manner 

3) Respond to and manage questions and answers quickly and concisely 

4) Organize and achieve your ideas or proposals to achieve acceptance 

5) Discover how to match the method of communication to the message

10/13- Perfecting Your Personal and Business Presentation Skills

Even when your product or service is tried and tested, to achieve sales you must be able to convey your company’s value proposition with conviction and clarity. The course starts with an overview of the interrelationship of branding, authenticity and sales, which is followed by a detailed breakdown of the tactics necessary for successful Request for Qualifications/Request for Proposal (RFQ/RFP) and interviews. Participants should bring a sample cover letter to use as a learning tool.

Upon completion of this course, participants will:  

1) Define Brand Identity and explain its role in sales. 

2) Recognize the importance of the alignment of your product/service, shared values, and  your ideal customer. 

3) Describe the qualitative attributes of successful proposals, e.g., cover letter, graphics, etc.

4) Review interview logistics and strategy in detail.

10/20- Leading Through Changing Times

To future proof your business, business owners need to understand the dynamics of change. This course teaches you how to redefine your business model to meet customer needs, address shifting customer expectations, and prioritize business goals for future success. At the conclusion of the course, you will have the tools and strategies to align your business so that you are considered the best solution for your customer's wants and needs.

Upon completion of this course, participants will:  

1) Create a company vision headline  

2) Evaluate your current business destination  

3) Identify your future customers  

4) Develop innovative big ideas and conclude if they have financial proof  5) Experiment, test and validate so you can recommend your idea to your current and new  customers.
