Biography

Desiree Alvarado is an entrepreneur, educator, and community leader dedicated to branding, education, and service. Born in San Salvador, El Salvador, she migrated to California at 10 and became the first in her family to graduate college, earning a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from UCLA and a Master’s in Education from Cal State LA.

Her career spans higher education, where she held executive roles at Cal State LA, LAC+USC MCA, and Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. She continues to teach as an adjunct faculty member in the non-credit division at Pasadena City College.

In 2015, she transitioned into entrepreneurship, founding Crown Promotions Group Inc./Pasadena Promos, a promotional products and branding company. She also owns Bonnie’s Guest House Inc., an adult residential care facility, and manages a lakefront Airbnb in Victorville.

Beyond business, Desiree is committed to community service, serving as President of NLBWA-LA, a board member of the Rotary Club of Pasadena, and on the LARCA board. Her journey reflects a passion for empowerment, resilience, and service, creating opportunities for businesses and individuals alike.
