Business Management Academy

A seven-week long program designed for entrepreneurs who are interested in taking their business to the next level. The Business Management Academy (BMA) is a Certificate Program which prepares minority business owners to effectively compete in their industry while taking on the challenges of new markets and technologies that are rapidly changing the way business is done. This landmark program enables entrepreneurs with more than 2 years in business to develop key business acumen which can be implemented immediately to improve business performance, including being contract-ready for vendors. Participants are required to turn in a strategic plan six weeks after final session.

Course duration: 7 weeks (one 3 ½ -hour class per week; includes meals, course materials).

Emerging Latinas Leadership Program (ELLP)

The Emerging Latinas Leadership Program (ELLP) is designed to empower emerging Latina leaders by providing the skills and tools necessary to advance their careers and executive leadership to become role models in the business arena. Topics include:  1. Leading with authority and negotiating powerfully within a company and organization.  2. Learning to use social media to elevate professional and personal image. 3. Increasing visibility as a corporate professional and leader in their community.

Health & Wellness – Redesign Your Lifestyle 

The newest NLBWA-LA program, “Health & Wellness,” addresses the various diseases affecting women, including heart disease, cancer, diabetes, cholesterol and obesity.  Designed to provide women with accessible tools that support and promote a healthy lifestyle through education and hands-on training by professional fitness, health and nutrition experts.
